Default Spray Basting for Baby Quilt?

I'm making a quilt for a newborn and I'm not sure if spray basting is safe. How quickly does it wash out? Should I avoid it altogether? The last thing I want is to send a toxic gift. :/

I think it washes out but read the label. You can use Elmer's school glue, it's non toxic.

depending on the size you can also baste by machine or do it like Sharon Shamber with the boards.

I use 505 on all my quilts, baby quilts too. I think it goes in the first washing---never noticed any problems .
