lived there as a kid, now you can't really tell that you've left Houston it's grown so much. I know there is a longarm dealer there and they have trade days but not sure when.

I am not from that area, but do visit a friend who lives in Willis, TX. Are you looking for someone to meet, or places to go?
There is a neat quilt shop in Conroe, TX - Quilter's Quarters, 3301 West Davis Ste B, Conroe, TX 77304. The ladies there are very nice & super helpful. http://www.quiltersquarters-tx.com/ I like that they always have some projects going on and kits that are reasonably priced for you to make the project.

Thanks Barb! I will visit an aunt of my DIL. She' s got a shop in Spring called Little Dutch Girl and sells all kinds of dutch stuff. I saw on the internet that there are fabric shops and a Hobbylobby. My DIL is a quilter too so we are going to have lots of fun!! My son and husband are coming too. I wanted to meet other members from the board if possible.

Well, we are in the Willis area from time to time. Perhaps my hubby & I can schedule a visit in the area while you are there. My friend is a quilter and knows all the shops in the Houston area. We go to most of them every time I visit her.
