But a "longtime quilter" pointed out her error of 4 1/4 and she then agreed. She said she would update her tute. But she hasn't, at least in the link I saw.

Update on square.....I did post a reply on her blog....such a hassle...had to open a google account, but I wanted to post there so I did it.....I explained the math error and lo and behold, she responded and did admit the error, saying since that tute she has done more quilts and that her now sewing machine has the "correct" 1/4" seam foot, and she would correct that tute........all well and good except for those who may have tried and not succeeded with the incorrect info

Someone else asked her the same question and she stood by the 4 1/4" reply, so apparently either her strip sets were cut incorrectly, or her 1/4" seam was off.
If you read her answer in the remarks a little further down, she said it should be 4 1/2" and that she needed to update her tutorial. Hope this clarifies your question. Don't know why she hasn't updated them.

"longtime quilter" was me, I had to create a google account, Yada-yada to be able to comment, so I create that as my "profile" or whatever they called it!
