I think I might regret doing this. I attacked my scrap pile, took all the 2-2.5 inch pieces and cut them all to 2 inches then made 4 patches using light & darks. Makes for some interesting color combos.LOL. Using yardage I'll cut triangles ( all the same fabrics) and make squares in a square blocks. Just need to learn how to do that. Hopefully there's a tute somewhere, wish me luck, I'm going in.(grin).

A lot of us cut the squares (and therefore the triangles that come from cutting the square in half) a little larger, sew them on, press, and then cut off the excess. It's a little more work, but makes for much better accuracy.

Thank you so much for this link, you are so helpful. Just used a 5 inch charm to try it. It's going to work, yeah. Can't mess with math, so I guessed cut a little bigger. Will cut them all the same size when finished. If some of my 4 patches are off a little, it shouldn't matter.

Gads, I just recently posted several tutes available on the net. Now I wish I had kept a copy for myself.
I just plain 'ol searched the net and found multiple ways to do the math and to make the squares.
