Default stain removal

Help please! I made a quilt a year or so ago and after the washing of it I noticed on the back(white backing)there is a small faint yellowish stain of some sort ....almost looks like pickle juice stain. it's not very noticeable you really have to look to see if but I know it's there and if your like Iam it's gonna bother you til you find a way to remove it. Any suggestions? I don't want to use a bleachy liquid on it as Iam afraid it might take the colors out of the pattern on the front. I hope someone has a suggestion as to what I can try.

How about Oxyclean? It is not a bleach. I use it all the time.

Or you can get a bottle of "Grandma's Secret Spot Remover." That is supposed to be great also. I saw it at my LQS.

I've used Grandma's" and it is good, but my favorite stain remover of all time is Zout. You can get it most anywhere. The first time I tried it, I successfully removed old, many times laundered and dried-in stains on clothes which had previously not been removed by a myriad of other stain remover products. I was amazed!

I agree with "Justa bit crazy". I use Zout for just about everything and IT WORKS, even
on stains that you might think that would never be removed.
I also use Oxy Clean too, but Zout is my favorite.

I agree trying Zout on it. I think Zout is sold at Walmart now as well as grocery stores. If you're not satisfied with Zout, I would try http://www.retroclean.com

I have used Grandma's and my only problem with it is you can't soak in it, it has to be applied to each spot. I works great, even on stains that have been washed and dried many times. I got something at the LQS to soak some vintage lace (gray and yellow because it was so old) and it turned out very white. Only trouble is I can't remember what it's name was. Got it at the LQS also. I guess I'm not much help, sorry.

I got something (never did figure out what) on a white area of a customer's quilt....little black spots. I made a strong solution of oxyclean and dabbed it on the spots. Did that twice and they were gone. The quilt was still on the frame when I did this. It works. I may need to look for this Zout...I've never heard of it!

Is it a spot you can hand stitch a label or pretty appliqué over?
