I have never really gotten into batiks, but lately there are just some extremely beautiful ones and I think I may need to reconsider! Here is one I found today...and I think it has opened the door to batiks for me

That would make one stunning quilt!

I LOVE batiks, so I am admittedly very biased LOL but that is beautiful fabric and I agree it would make a gorgeous quilt :D:D:D

I love batiks. I use them more than anything else.

Most of my stash is batiks, I have a hard time shopping in any other section of the quilt shops! They are very versatile, and the patterns and colors are gorgeous.

That is one beautiful fabric. Better than ice cream as far as I am concerned.

Beautiful fabric. I use a lot of batiks except when hand-quilting. Tried that once--never again!! Let us know if you get it and what you decide to make with it.

I love batiks too! I lean towards blues/purples/greens, but am slowly expanding my color selection to do a quilt I have in mind.

Make yourself a small project, wall hanging, tote bag or something...then you'll really be hooked! :)

I adore batiks but I've found lately that they don't like to be used with fusible webbing. I think it's the wax resist used to make the patterns. On the last bunch I bought I could smell the wax still in the fabric (like crayons) and it wouldn't fuse at all. What could I use to prewash to get the wax out?

Between my stash and all my UFO's I have promised myself that "I am not allowed any more catagories of fabric. So NO to Batiks at this time.
