Default Stained glass pens? Has anyone tried these?

Hey has anyone tried the stained glass pens from Sharpie? They are almost $13.00 for the set and being unemployed, I am afraid to spend money on anything except necessities unless I know the product is good. I was thinking about using them for fine details in my mug rugs that I just can't do with applique. They SAY they are made for fabric and they do have a brush tip.

Have not yet tried them but don't really have a need right now! The price keeps me back like some other notions.

Haven't tried them. I did pick up some regular Sharpies that you buy in just the colours you wanted. Each was $1 at Walmart.

The regular Sharpies may or may not launder well. I've had them stay forever if I wanted it to go away and fade over time if I didn't!

Isn't it always the way it goes mom-6.
I haven't seen these pens-sounds interesting. I recently bought the Crayola fine point fabric markers as recommended by someone here on the board (I think it was Barnbum) but haven't used them yet. I'm not sure if they are similar to the pens or not.

Are you refering to the Stained markers? (Not Stained Glass) I used a blue one not long ago to touch up some fabric that had faded unevenly after being washed. It worked really well, the color was soft rather than sharp or crisp but I only used the one color. The quilt hasn't been washed since the marker was used on it as it is a wall hanging, so I don't know if it is colorfast.

Regular Sharpies are much less expensive. I do inow the regular ones mark fabric but don't know if the dye bleeds. Does anyone know if the regular Sharpies bleed when the fabric is washed?

Thanks guys. I wasn't aware they made sharpies for fabric. That's how it is when you live in the sticks and don't go into town very often. LOL

Looks interesting. I found them on Amazon & Walmart web sites for $10. 58 for the 8 count.
