I'm picking mine up this weekend!!! Can't wait, course gotta wait until we get moved into our new house in June before setting it up.

I played with the Fun Quilter at every show I went to for 2 years and visited alot with people who had one. They are a mid arm (17 inches) and are very affordable. They move very easily over the carriage. The factory is right here in Iowa so if I have problems they are close, whoops, forgot, my new home is in Nebraska.

I have so much going on right now that I couldn't do it justice anyway. Our offer on our new home was accepted yesterday and my hubby is filling out mortgage papers. Subbing at our local school and getting this house ready for sale, also my son getting married on Memorial day! It will just have to wait. I won't have time to think about it. But rest assured when I get it set up and going I will post pictures. My new sewing room is out of the basement and in a bright sunny south west room with 2 big windows. Yippeeeeeee!

I have had my Fun quilter for about a year and a half. At first, I had no problems with it but in the last 6 months, it has been a nightmare. I have so many tension problems and they are very inconsistant. I sent it to No. Calif. to the rep I bought it from and she didn't even put it on a frame or run it with the stitch regulator. She said it worked fine and billed me for $100.00. When I got it back, I had the same problem, she told me to try it without the stitch regulator, I would probably have more fun quilting that way. I paid a lot of money for the stitch regulator and am determined to use it. I have loops on the backing and if I tighten the top tension to eliminate the loops, I get "pulled" stitches on top, it is just an ugly job. I hope where ever you are, the rep is more helpful.

dsilas,

Call Nolting and talk to them. You should tell them about the dealer and what happened also. I have heard nothing but good things about the customer service at Nolting.

If I could have afforded one, I would have jumped at it. I Bought a Bailey instead since it was in my price range. I figured if I ever started to quilt a lot then I could always upgrade... having said that I have yet to turn the bugger on!

I spoke with Nolting direct before I went to the rep. They also say it is the tension and maybe it is but I really don't think I should have to mess with tension for at least 15 min. every time I want to do a quilt, and then to have stitches that aren't very nice looking. I am really disappointed in Nolting and would not recommend them to anyone. I just wonder how many others have tension trouble with the mid-arm machines regardless of the mfg.
