Default Help! I need some ideas for...........

A friend and I will be hosting a quilters retreat this fall and need an idea for a hand-made gift for each retreater. Last year we gave the little chicken pin cushions. Does anyone have an idea for something quick and easy to make? Ideas/pattern?

I do the same thing every year and I agree it is a challenge to find something easy to make and yet cute. Last year I made thread catchers. I had to greatly inlarge the design one of the qulters shared with us on this forum. They turned out cute and very easy to make. You might be able to search this web site for thread catchers.

I made several of those snappy bags and gave as gifts at Christmas and everyone seemed to like them.

A couple of us made little zippered bags - very simple any shape/size you want. We gave them to our golfer friends for their golf tees, etc. or golf gambling change!! They are a great way to use up scraps. We bought small zippers thru zippers.com for like 17 cents each.

The best gift I got at my last retreat, wasn't home made--it was a 12 inch long piece of non slip shelf liner, to put under my sewing machine pedal. No more chasing the pedal around under the table.

How about a basket to hold all their supplies while sewing. I took one to my retreat and it came in real handy.
