Please be considerate as I am nervous presenting this idea.

I wanted a way that if I go to a quilt show or a gathering at a public place to recognize Quilt Board Members. After many hours of thought I think we need a method for all of us.
--suitable for all countries
--in any language
--not give I.D for those who prefer privacy
--has to be easily recognizable
--not heavy /large or too small either
--inexpensive
--make your own to personalize
--sewer -beginner to advance
--easy but pretty

My suggestion after this is --a credit card size little crazy quilt to wear as you would a hanging name tag. Could even be made to hold your credit card while at shows !
Everyone make their own with their scraps or 1 piece....
size to be at least 3 1/2 in x 2 1/4 in
that is 9 cm x 6 cm. Finished
If I were wearing one (as pictured below) similar to a piece of jewelry I could be recognized by QB members
while walking around.
Hope you can appreciate my attempt of a sample .
May have to send photo separate --following

Sounds like a great idea, but I'm not good at fine work. I'd try, though

the same thought has been on my mind. We had Tiny Teal Turtlenecks for our machine knitting members. Worked out very well. I'm thinking that the crazy quilts will be so different that they wouldn't stand out. Our tiny sweaters worked because they were all teal. And folks not on the QB might just wear a crazy quilt decor. JMHO. Will watch this for other ideas.

I think that is a great idea but would think it would need the approval and input from the head and moderators of this QB - IMHO

We already have a "guild card" that was designed for us, this could be printed out and worn :D:D:D

I meant to say it would need approval ---BUT, I had no idea that we had something that could be used .
In these 2 yrs didn't know about the quild card so I will scrap my idea. Had such problems trying to send the photo anyway so don't look for it ---not sent
Guess I will tell others to wear the card if going to a show or meeting.
Thank you for any comments that have been sent to me.
Apologise to those looking for pics.

and I've taken that design and already made a quilted 'pin' that I did wear to a show last year. I also made a wooden pin with my QB screen name on it that I wear on this small quilt.

not suggesting this but.......a few years ago an online group made yellow yo yo's to wear. they were very recognizable. So something distinctive is good
If not a crazy quilt - then perhaps a 6 point star in a distinctive color might work.
