I thought it would be loads of fun and I would get to learn from the other entries. But if its not a true competition......I don't want in it. That's my only complaint.

Shelly, I think that unfortunately just like every other type of competition...dog shows, horse shows..cat shows..everyother type of show you can think of...well..to be blunt about it...its political. It is absolutely WHO you know. I've been told this about the quilt shows and I've never entered, so I don't know from 1st hand experience. I will enter someday...when I make something I think is worthy of entering.
I did learn the politics first hand when I was showing horses, then again when we ran a dog on the field trial circuit. It is definetely politics. We have the trophies and ribbons to show for it that we won when we did not deserve to win them. That was very frustrating for me. I want to win..but only when we are the best in the lot..
