    Stiching down

I am doing an fusible web applique wall hanging that you stich on the inside of the edge to hold it down to prevent the edges from peeling up. Now on the inside of the applique their are pieces cut out also. I have stitched around the larger cut outs, but there are some really small cut out pieces, I'm taking very small! Do I need to sew around them too? Thank you so much in advance.

a lot of people 'thread paint' over the final design. A lot of little pieces get covered that way. Without a picture of what you are doing, it is hard to say.

When I made a McKenna Ryan pattern, I stitched around everything and anything that I could. If you can do it, I would just to be on the safe side but if it is only going to be a wallhanging and not washed much or at all, you could just skip those spots as they won't be stressed out by continual washing.

a permanent fusible would be one you could not stitch through. Others are meant to be stitched through. Hope this helps.

If you ever want to wash it, those tiny pieces will be the first to disappear in the wash.
