If I stitch in the ditch for the quilting, do I begin at the center and go out and then go back to the center and go the other way, or do I just start sewing at one end and go to the other end.

Thanks, everyone; and Merry Christmas.

I start in the center of the quilt, but on an outside edge. Then as Lindsey said, go one way then the other.

I start in the center and work out to the edges.
Or work around in a circle in the center and then work outwards :D:D:D

yes, this is how I do it too. Once it's spray basted and pinned, it isn't going to move... Quilting teacher at JoAnn's told me that. I do the STD first them go back and do something in each block if I want more quilting.

There are colored plastic topper that go on top of straight safety pins that are great to mark the end of the row that you have SID.They let you know which end that you finished at so you can sew back the other way. They are pretty cheap with coupon at Joann's. share with friend!

Thank you. I can't tell you how long it took me to figure which end to start next. I'm not even sure I got it right. I was thinking of putting a pin on the starting row for each row for the rest of it.
