I love string quilts and how you can get such fabulous effects with such easy and fast work. A few months ago I saw - on somebody's blog - a quilt that had been a gift from a friend in Texas that was a different "take" on string quilts. I think there might even have been a little bit of a tutorial on how it was done. I can't remember if the blocks were made by taking blocks with strips going straight across and putting them face to face and sewing around the edges and then cutting (like the cool way to make pinwheel components) and then being reassembled or if they were made with the strips going diagonally (as is also very common) and then being cut or something. Anyway, it looked kind of cool and I would like to try it - thought I'd bookmarked it but discovered I did not. Did any of y'all see the same thing? Can anyone point me in the direction of such?
Thank you!!!!!

Bonnie Hunter has Strip Twist: http://quiltville.com/striptwist.shtml

Silver Thimble has one they call Strip Twist also: http://silverthimblequilting.blogspo...ist-quilt.html

I found lots of wonky log cabin blocks done with strings and Bonnie Hunter also had a cool basketweave diagonal set.
