ok so my best friend sent me up her baby quilt she made for me to quilt. My birthday gift to her. BUT the thing is I am stuck as to what to do on it . Well maybe not so stuck but as intimidated to quilt it .Basically squares within squares and the border she did a ribbon with bows in all four corners. pink and black fabrics turned out gorgeous. Maybe someone can give me an idea

Maybe diamonds on the square that widen with each row within the block?

Are you quilting it on a long arm? What about quilting concentric circles inside the squares to give it some movement? Or any design that has some curves to it so that your eyes move around the quilt. Just a thought....

I thought about doing something with curves. I am doing it on a grace frame with a juki 98q sewing machine with stitch regulator

I might quilt a spiral on each block, you know-- start in the center and go round and round and round about an inch apart, like a giant cinnamon bun. Then wI might quilt smaller C-spirals on the borders like this

Oh gosh, this will be a challenge. Such a dark quilt for a baby quilt too. Are the blocks seamed with a crosswise seam resulting in each block having four sections? Wonder what an echo of each individual triangled portion would look like? StitchinJoy's idea of round&round bun sounds good. This quilt needs movement and, like you, I am at a total loss too. Good luck and let us see your finished project.
