If you like that type of work take a look at Gail Garber's website. She had the cover of American Quilters Mag issue before last also. Her first book is out of print but can be downloaded for 12.00. Her new book will be out soon. I took from her nineteen years ago before she was paper piecing and she was doing this type of work but it is really hard when we didn't paper piece. We also dyed all of our fabric. http://www.gailgarberdesigns.com/gpage3.html

Have you tried to Google a free pattern before spending the money on a book or two or three. With as much is out there I'm sure you could find a free pattern somewhere that you like. I wouldn't spend the money until it was a last resort. Just my opinion, I'm kinda frugal. Money's tight here.
