Sulky thread
ive been using sulky for a few days now and noticed that the thread is untwisting as I'm using it and fraying. I'm using it on silk tie quilt. anyone ever have that problem or know why this is happening.

I'm quilting with Sulky right now and the exact same thing is happening. I'm half way thru the spool and it worked fine until this point so I don't think it's a position thing--I haven't changed anything. Will be watching this thread and thanks for posting this problem, Ro.

That I why I try not to use that thread anymore. Try a bigger needle hole or I use a product called Sewers Aid that helps lubricate the thread thru the needle.

I had a lot of trouble with the sulky metallic thread this week. It had twisted and knotted areas periodically and would break the thread. Will not use it again...had to throw 2 spools away. Must be a better thread with less stress!
