Default Sunbonnet Sue California?

Hello,

I was wondering if there is such thing as a pattern for a Sunbonnet Sue quilt California themed?

I have seen Texas, Alaska and Kansas.

Does anyone know of a pattern for California?

Thanks,

I don't know of a pattern but you get some good suggestions on QB if you draft your own. I suggest SBS on a surf board, SBS at the Hollywood sign....

Thanks Tartan. I didn't think of that, but those two are perfect.

It could also be in the snow. Here in So Cal we have Big Bear Mountain.

And with a bear, which is the symbol of Cali's flag.

So we have four blocks so far.

1. Hollywood
2. Surfing
3. in Bear Bear
4. with California's flag bear.

keep ideas coming.... thanks!

with a pine tree, there are certainly enough of them in all the state parks & national parks.
Others:
A giant redwood, the one you used to be able to drive thru.
The State capital bldg,
A winery
LA skyline or air port symbol
Space shuttle at museum
Crowed Freeway
Disneyland,
A representation of the varioeus crops grown in CA, that would be a quilt in itself
Military bases
The Sultan Sea
The bridge accross th Sacramento River
Sea Lions
Harbors, beaches
Brea Tar PIts
Art Colonies
Pebble beach golf course
Malibou's Merry go round
Joshau Trees in the desert
Spanish Missions
I-5
Sports teams
The USS Midway
Small fishing town
Gold mine
Orange grove

I do not live in Ca, but have visited many times in various areas of the state

What about an earthquake split in the ground, SBS on the red carpet, or in a vinyard.

I have never been a Sunbonnet Sue fan - but reading all of these suggestions could make me a convert. I especially would like to see Sue drinking a glass of wine.
