I am a member of another site where there are swaps of different kinds. Noodles, squares and even sewn swaps.

I was wondering if anyone from here would like to try this. It would be something different every month. I would not mind hostessing it. Whatever the swap is the items would be shipped to me and then I would ship them out to the members of the swap.

If anyone is interested please make it known on this post. We can do something different every month.

Oh hehe, you're right on my brain wave. I just posted about doing a fabric swap in the classified/swap section! Hopefully there are others interested in sharing around.

Sure let me know what you come up !!!
I think I will like doing that. I would like to trade fat 1/8ths maybe in Cival War or 1930's. or floral prints. I'd rather trade that size rather than small squares.

This sounds like fun except for one thing... you will be paying alot on shipping to get all the participants their items.

The way it would work is the swappers pay to ship it to me and would send the same amount in postage to get the items back.

I'll work on something tonight and post it in the next few days. Hopefully there will be more interested. We can start out with 30's fat quarters and next month do something different.

My only thought on that, is some fabric is heavier than others, which might end up hurting you the hostess, right?

why ship twice? What if the hostess just organized addresses. Then we just send to the address we are given. Everything just gets shipped once.

That is how I have done swaps before (not sewing related however).
