Welcome to the Quilting Board!

I use my scraps of Hobbs for placemats and table runners.
A Good Friend, like an old quilt, is both a Treasure and a Comfort
I once made a lot of table toppers for my church and used some old polyester I had been gifted with. Made them stable and they didn't move around easily..
Retired teacher, loving it.
Love quilting also.
I use whatever's left over to nothing. I'd consider using the old sheets, flannel, medium weight interfacing.

I like to piece together batting scraps of the same fiber content and brand for smaller projects, although I tend not to select something with a lot of loft for a table runner.
joanns has a soft and crafty that is thin and easy to sew sandwiched with a regular machine .......we use it for the summertime quilts we donate ....
I use leftovers of whatever is in my stash, sometimes piecing small pieces together.
I like flannel or warm and natural, both quilt up nice and flat. If you use something too thick, it's hard to stand glasses or vases without them falling over. Just my opinion.
I recently used left over hobbs batting - i washed it gently in the sink because i do not want the crinkle look when it is time to wash it.
I've used left over fleece for table runners. Sometimes I will use only the fleece and no additional backing. Other times I've used it just like regular batting. Flannel can also work well.
I used to use leftover whatever I had, but now I use Quilter's Dream Poly in all my runners. It lays beautifully flat, and doesn't shrink up at all after washing. I like the look of it much better than cotton battings for runners and wallhangings.
