I'm on a limited income, so Christmas is usually something I make to give. I will do two queen size quilts (one scrap for the challenge), but I want to do some table runners for my dil, daughter and myself for our Christmas tables. Does anybody have any ideas for free patterns I can get. I mostly just need
block patterns. I can put them together on my own.

I make table runners all the time for every occasion. When I do a Christmas one I put fall fabric on the back so they can turn it over an use it at Thanksgiving time. Just make any 12 inch or 9 inch block, (I usually do 3) put a sashing between them and a border. Actually I just finished one using the Drunkards Path block.

All you need to do is make two or three blocks and sew them together and put on a border. That being said - it is nice to be visually inspired!! Here are a couple of links that I have found and kept because I think I will tackle them for next Christmas.

That is a terrific idea. A reversible one! I was going to make two different ones using a falling leaves pattern for Thanksgiving. Thanks for the neat idea!!

I just want to thank you for these wonderful sites. I have been up all night collecting free pattrns off the web. I have printed several out and will put them in my 3 Ring Quilts Book. I'm having a ball. Now.... how do I get my family to do everything
I normally do while I cut, sew and quilt?

I like to take a block 8 to 12 inches and set it on point in a table runner--can use any number of blocks depending on how long you want it. Three is a nice number. You can square off the corners to make a rectangle or leave them pointed.
