Hi everyone,
I have started making table runners, but they were made to go on my old table. I now have a dining room table that is about 89-90 inches long and my table runners look kind of small. If I am not using placemats with the table runners, how long should I make my table runners? I don't want them to look too small.
Thanks

It's a matter of taste, and how you plan to use the table.
If you plan on removing the runner when you dine at the table, then you can go with a long runner that drapes off the ends of the table perhaps 6" - 12".
If you prefer to leave the runner in place when using the table, then make sure to leave enough space at the heads of the table for your dishes and glasses.
