    We are active in 4H in our area. One of the things we have to consider when obtaining judges is, while many sewers quilt, not all quilters are sewers(seamstress).They can be two very different animals! Thanks for helping these girls.

    You were their teacher/leader? They should be sending you a "thank you"! As for ribbons, didn't they get ribbons and premiums at the county/local exhibit, and that is what moved them up to the state level? Of course, any card or recognition you give them would be great and will encourage them to do more projects next year.
