What type of fabric, small or large print, if small, a zigzag, warm wishes, bricks, if large print, border/sashing squares of the focus fabric.

LOL had to read the question X2, thought you were making them quilt, brother always would iron for me if he needed one. :)

Attic window with a favorite print. Is there a way to find out what they are into?

Try everybody's favorite - denim! Any pattern, no matter how simple, would be great!

Fabric with their interests, or their favorite colors. I look for contemporary patterns and fabrics too. Males in our family do not like florals or "girly" prints LOL :D:D:D

My DS is 11 and wanted a Quilt so I took him to the store with me and had him pick his fabrics. I'll admit I had my doubts with his choices but it looks great now that the quilting is taking place! Is that an option for you? Oh yes...it's Yellow Brick Road pattern.

The best and only quilt my nephews/other teen-pre teen boys love and will use everywhere is a fleece tied quilt made with their favorite sport team logos. It's pretty easy to find all the major and college leagues in fleece. Their parents thank me everytime I see them for the quilts, the boys love them. I feel kinda humble, the quilts took about an hour each to make!

I made a flannel patchwork rag quilt for my teenage grandson ... he loved it.
