I've pm'ed with goldsberry921, skeeter's mom (who is a dear friend of mine) and vschieve about how close we live to each other and maybe someday getting together to meet face-to-face. Here's what I'm asking - would anyone want to meet up in Austin? Since some work outside the home, I suggest a Saturday meeting. Would you like to meet for lunch? There's a fantastic Mexican Restaurant (I know one of the owners and I'm sure we can reserve the "fiesta room") about 3 miles (straight shot) from IH 35. Or, if there aren't too many, I'll volunteer my home as a meeting place. (warning, we have a dog, so if you have allergies, let me know). How much advance notice would you need to plan a few hours out? Do you want to meet for lunch? If so, where? Or would you rather do a pot luck lunch at my house? I love meeting quilters and sharing ideas.

That sounds like fun. Wish it would have come up when I still was in Austin. Back in Lubbock now (and so are the Austin kids), so I probably won't be back down anytime soon. But I hope some of you can meet and have a good time.

This is a wonderful Idea. We do this once a month now where I am. SO glad others are doing it. I love meeting new members. Take pictures when you meet. Thanks for sharing.

How about the Dallas area? Any folks around here? I am in Cedar Hill. A Saturday lunch would be fun.

I'm going to the Dallas Quilt Show on Friday, March 11th with a friend from Frisco. Maybe we could meet there.
