I had a waxy marker that I used by mistake and the yellow mark wouldn't come out. A long time quilter suggested mixing a little dishsoap, little water, and a Tblsp of rubbing alcohol. Apply with toothbrush and scrub. Rinse really well and repeat if necessary. It took 3 tries but it all came out. I've also used this "recipe" for stains on my lab coats and it works!

Thanks to all of you for the suggestions. I will try some of them & see what happens. I've enjoyed lurking - you all sound like wonderful and fun folks, and your humor keeps me smiling!

Try a mr clean magic eraser. Contrary to popular belief it doesn't contain harsh chemicals (I'm not sure that it contains any, actually).
