Default Texas Quilt Museum - wow!

I have just returned from a most enjoyable holiday in southern Texas, saw some fantastic sights and did some amazing things. But one of the highlights of our trip for me was a visit to the Texas Quilt Museum in La Grange (located between Houston and Austin). The exhibition was absolutely breath-taking. The quilts were modern and there was quite a bit of applique work too, and they were all stunning. I am so in awe of people who can turn fabric into works of art. No pics allowed so can't show you anything, but if you are near do go and visit. The volunteers working there were really friendly and chatty too - I think all quilter's love talking about the craft!

How exciting for someone from so far away to love our new museum. I haven't been yet but some of my guild pals want to get a group together...it's less than 2 hours from our town! I saw many of the quilts last fall at the Houston quilt show and they were fantastic. Glad you enjoyed your trip to Texas.
