my dad fell and split his femur from hip to knee. had a plate and screws in and had to do some repair at the top at the socket. he already has two hip replacements and did something to where the bone joins the socket. anyway, was released and has to be in rehab least a month. He is complaining about being cold so I thought would make a throw for his feet and legs. I am thinking rail fence and in red white and blue and it would be fast. any sugestions for any fast lap?
thanks, Pennie

Snowball comes to mind. That's what I go to when I need something fast and easy.

The "wickedly easy quilt" goes together quickly and with any fabric. just google it.
Sorry that he fell and hope he is on the mend soon.

For Christmas, I made a giant, single log cabin block as a throw for a sweetheart in the nursing home where I work... Each log was 6" wide, finished... started with a 6.5" (unfinished) center and went from there... It turned out about 48" square. I used some stash fabric, and it went together quickly. Unfortunately, it only lasted about 2 weeks with the sweet lady... still haven't found it...

Could you find some panel fabrics that would mean something to him?

Cut them apart and then do a log cabin or courthouse steps around them or even a simple sashing.
