Thank you, Quilting Board!
I am especially grateful today for all the wonderful wisdom that I have collected from QB members over the past 2 years.
I received a ThimbleLady hand quilting kit for Christmas & finally got around to starting it today. It had a small piece of fabric with a beautiful light black marked design. I wrongly assumed it was pencil & ironed it marked side down. When I turned it over, the marks were gone. After a moment of utter panic, I wondered if perhaps it was a Frixion pen and remembered QB members talking about how you can test if Frixion marks come back sometimes by putting the fabric in the freezer.
Oh! How very, very happy I am! All the marks completely came back! Whoo-hoo! I am so grateful for how helpful everyone here is. I would have never thought to try putting it in the freezer were it not for all the wonderful, helpful people on QB.
To everyone who has ever posted about Frixion marks coming back in the freezer & to all the rest of you who have shared ideas I have used already or will certainly use at some point in the future -- a HUGE THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU to you all!
And if any of the staff/volunteers/advertisers responsible for bringing us QB every day are reading this, THANK YOU to you, too!

I know, right?! I'll definitely have to make sure to wash it when I finish the quilting to make sure they don't come back later when I don't want them. I'm pretty sure the people who posted about the freezer trick were not thinking that would be a blessing to some silly girl who accidentally ironed away a marked design, but it helped me nonetheless.

I agree whole heartedly with you Bree123... and you yourself, have also been a great poster who is always willing to share your experiences and ideas.
I do love this board... I'd probably get more sewing done if I didn't spend so much time reading all the posts.
