I think they're beautiful and have even gone as far as buying some cheap material with about a 6" repeat to practice on. But it's really pretty material so it would be nice if I could do it right the first time and use them for something. I did find one place but it was pretty sketchy on telling/showing how to fold or lay the fabric out to cut. As I understand, you need to cut through several layers of material at once to get the needed result. I've added about a dozen sites to my favorites in the short time I've been here; you ladies are a wealth of information!

Cande, I don't know of any pattern other than comes in a book.
If you are using a fabric with 6" repeats, you will multiply the 6" my however many pieces in your design. You would cut strips of your fabric 6" wide by th width of the fabric, then subcut those for triangles or what ever....to get the stack of pieces the some you have stack all the strips matching the design of the fabric exactly.

You might like to search for a tutorial of this kind of quilt.

I am wondering how many copy right violations I would be infringing on
It seems that it is the way you layout the fabrics to cut them, that is the main consideration and the most highly guarded secret to these, stack and whack and 4 something posies, I can't remember their exact name....

Here is the closest that I have been able to locate. Scroll clear down to the bottom, as it starts there and works it way upwards on her blog. This is NOT a video but she does have pictures to help illustrate the laying out and cutting the fabric :D:D:D

Loretta, that last one explained it best, I think. Hopefully, I'll be able to do it from watching that.
