I bought about 280 6" x 4 1/2" squares what kind of quilt can I make with these? Sorry to ask another dumb question. And help would be appreciated in advance. Thank you all. Monie

Your can't go wrong with DP9. Also using them as center of a star block or 4 patch. Others will have more ideas.

I make french braids with scraps using 3.5 x 6 but you could try 4.5 x 6 and see how that looked.

The answer to your question depends on your answer to these questions .....
* what colours/prints etc?
* how many of each?
* Though I am a little confused, as you have said squares .... so are they 6x4-1/2" blocks? or some are 6" squares and some are 4-1/2" squares?

Start ... by sorting them into piles of matching fabrics.
Count the number of each.
Then show us a photo of what you have with the numbers! :)

ok i am going to try to send pics there is total of 6x41/2' blocks 20 of each color 14 different colors

There are a lot of possibilities with those pieces.

You can make an "elongated 9-patch" or "elongated 4-patch" blocks with the rectangles.

You could sew them in columns or strips.

You could cut them down into squares - but I would play around a bit with the rectangles first.
