I think that comes from a woman's talent for multi-tasking. When I go to my room to quilt I think "just this one project". Most of the time it works, except when I find some scrap I really like, or when I see how much stuff is on the table, or when my "next project" basket is empty and I need to look through my books and magazines, or.....

Now I may be a radical BUT I do clean my sewing room after I finish a quilt. That way all the pieces of the finished quilt are out of the way and I have a clean slate to work with. I do try to only have 2 (or at the most 3 pieces) working at the same time. One at the hand sewing part, one on the machine and one in planning. BUT I still clean after each completion. (I have also decided after each quilt, anything small than a fat quarter is getting cut into 2 1/2" squares and filed by color.)

it's a spring wanted thing.
I started by painting the entry/living room-then the ceiling in the kitchen. Then moved out the display cabinets, the saw the basement needed sorting. Need to go thru my books and sort them out and toss the ones I now have on the kindle. Need to rearrange all the stuff I had in the display cases and find the boxes so I can either save them or get rid of them. WANT to quilt. But should finish the house first. Need to quilt the 7 tops I have made before I start another top.
Dominoes anyone-it seems like if is go into a room I need to do SOMETHING with it and then when I go into another room, I see something there that needs my attention. My house is really not that bad but I have been restless and can't concentrate on ONE thing.
HELP!!!!

GerriB. I am so sorry for your loss. Prayers are on their way!
My sewing corner at the moment is Chaotic, I agree quilting in a mess leads to errors, flops, and other blunders.

I am not a person that finishes everything she starts, I do finish quite a few, but I also have here and there several UFQ and UFP, plus a few UFO. So don't feel bad, that just shows how talented we are. Welcome to my club.
