I'm thinking about buying a longarm machine. I have looked and tryed out some machines. And i would love to own a gammill! My thoughts are work towards it. I found a ken royal quilting machine, does anyone have a ken? Would this be a good start?

I've had mine for over 2 years and LOVE the 24/7/365 real person tech service...even for just getting help with tension (every LA has a learning curve for tension!). It has proven to be huge competition for Gammill (Gammill even lowered the price of their 18" machine to compete with ABM's Innova). The Innova is built to commercial standards and is so reliable and easy to use. Every problem I've had (not very many) has been my lack of knowledge about longarming! There are also 3 yahoo groups for the Innova. Those groups are a great place to find out what problems you can expect with all the different LA. I was going to buy a Gammill when I found the Innova and completely fell in love...helps that the "extras" on the Gammill were standard with the Innova!!! Can you tell I really love my machine AND the company?? Their customer service is the best I've ever experienced! I've even called the company after their working hours and had the President of ABM answer my call and my questions! I also have the cell phone number of the "M" in ABM so I can call him directly any time I have a question...even Christmas day! I'm happy to talk about my Innova any time, any place!!!

I have a Ken quilter they are good machines and they are very easy to deal with i had several questions and they sent me the answers right away good luck on what ever you decide

Thanks for this info and link...My very wonderful DH just told me he'd buy the Queen Quilter for me! Its seems perfect for my current needs. Unfortunately they are probably not open on Sunday!!!!!

Thanks for all the great information. All noted! I can buy a ken royal 28" arm with the table. Its used for under 7000.00. Are they a loud machine to work on! And i don't know if this is a good price. I also looked at the Queen quilter 18" for the same money.
