I'm not sure if this has been discussed before; but I would like to know the is there is a difference between monofilament thead and invisible thread(confused) :?

I've always though that they were the same thing. Hopefully someone can clarify.

Twenty years ago they called it "invisable" thread when it was made of nylon. Not exactly sure what "monofilament thread" is made of, but suspect a type of nylon as well. I do know that the old nylon thread used to be much harder to use on my machine.

I believe monofiliment is a poly type thread. The Sulky 'invisible' is polyester.....

You can get these threads in two different sizes depending on how "invisible" you want.

Just be careful about using your dryer for any projects that you use monofilament on - it can easily melt in a dryer.
