There are so many new threads on the market. Can anyone tell me what you recommend for a good overall thread for piecing?,and what do you recommend for machine quilting? Also, do you know of any good on-line suppliers?

    Thanks in advance,
    Julie

I use Coats and Clarks 100% cotton machine quilting thread. I use it for both piecing and quilting. I get mine at Walmart and they are 1200 yd spools. I use a neutral color. You may need an adapter for it but I got some at my local quilt store. It is just a dowel with a spindle sized hole up the middle. They are pretty inexpensive. I think the package had two in it for around $2. Hope this helps.
