That's beautiful!!! I like the idea of scalloped borders. don't forget to post a pic when you finish it.

That is so beautiful, I would not care if the quilting marks came out or not!! BTW, in my experience they never do.

It's lovely! I have the greatest time refurbishing older quilts - some can be so challenging! This one is marvelous!

I used to shop LeeWards all the time...the main office/warehouse was in Elgin, IL. I vaguely remember this quilt...it was before I started quilting.

My Mom made a couple of shift dresses in the 60-early 70's with applique borders...She had one that was tulips...wish I still had those.

I still have the cross-stitched baby quilts that Mom and my Gt. Aunt made for my 34 year old son...

Do you remember when that kit was published? The only thing I can come up with is 40's/50's.

My arthritis won't allow hand-quilting; however, I have a friend who has agreed to hand-quilt it for me.
