CB - I have the leaf fabric and the repeat is 18". Should I go with a 3 1/2 strip or should I go smaller? I know it's a personal preference....but since I'm such a beginner I was wondering what you recommend.

I can use the whole thing if I need to - nothing else planned for this fabric. I wanted to end up with a queen size quilt if I can.

with the leaves I would go a bit smaller, not to small though or you will be there forever, as me how I know!

Bailey if you are using it all, here is what I would do, split it down to the center for the two long strips, now if yo divide that into 6 you have 9 repeats per layer, now that is really long to work with, I would do the 22x 48 (two repeats) or 22x 72 (three repeats) per section per stack, if you do the two, you will have one on it's own, or if you do 3 then you will have 6 sets (3 per half) of stacks. I hope that makes sense.

Thank you so much. What size triangle do you recommend I use. I was thinking about 3 3/4". Do you think that will work?

I do think it would work. The print is big enough and remember you will loose the seam allowance around the outside of it.

CB - couldn't sleep so I figured I check out the forum one more time :). I am thinking about going with 3". I have my stack of six and they are matched up, and I also have the other half of my fabric, so I will have another stack of six if I decide to GO BIG!
Thanks for all your help...this is so exciting.
