To start with I would do some rearranging still. Group like colors more closely together. And I can see some of the cube blocks really helping bring this one together. Do you have the book with the directions? If not I will see what I can do to throw something together to show you how to do them.

I haven't done them but from my understanding they are pretty easy,

alaskasunshine I love your blocks. I also think if you put like colors together you are going to love it. Please show us a picture again after you play with it some more. BTW the cubes are very easy to do.

alaskasunshine,
I too, think you need to move some blocks around more. When I look at your first pic., I see 4 that are mostly yellow, 12 mostly blue, some lighter pink, some darker pink, a lot of green ones, some darker than others. If you rearrange, so the colors that are alike are right next to each other, you might find to like the whole thing. Maybe have a diagonal movement happening across from one corner to the opposite corner?
It helps to stand back away from it - like 10 feet or more. The colors in the print change dramatically from looking at them up close.

I went out and bought a peep eye thing (don't know what you call them) for the door (the little eye in the door so you can see who is on the other side) at the hardware store. $3.00 later I can really get a good look at my quilt standing right beside it. Try it - seems like the quilt is a long ways away and you can really get a good look at colors and values. Really helps with these OBW quilts.

i have the book:ONE BLOCK WONDERS...one fabric, one shape,one-of-a-kind quilts. i see lots of examples of OBW quilts w/ cubes in them, but I don't see any instructions on making the cubes. Is there a different book with the cube instructions?

There is, there is an encore book that is next in line, I will see of I can't work something up as soon as I get done what I was working on today, a bunch of pieced hearts, I will try and keep it as simple as I can,
