Just thought I would share a tip for using a pattern. Once I have the pattern pieces I need, I cut each piece out of interfacing so it will last longer. This way, I can re-use the pattern without worrying about ripping it.

A friend told me once that when she found a pattern that she loved, she ironed it onto a backing, cut it accurately just like an applique and it almost never wore out.

Very good tip. I sometimes make extra copies on the computer, but I think your way is more permanent.

That's a great idea. I have traced the pattern size I need onto wax paper so that I keep all the sizes intact.

I will definitely use your idea, too!

I bought a huge roll of butcher paper (no wax though) for an church project. I use that but I'll share your idea with friends.
