Default Titanium Rotary blades ;)

I asked a question months ago about using the new Titanium Rotary cutter blades and didn't get much response of yay or nay. Yesterday I took the plunge and purchased a new rotary cutter with a titanium blade. I am waaay beyond impressed!! This thing is so incredibly sharp I continue to be amazed at every cut I make!... doesn't take much to impress us quilters does it? giggle
I am super super impressed with the sharpness of the blade!!! It is a Fiskars 45mm cutter, my old is an Olfa. If they make titanium blades for Olfa..(which JOann's didn't have) I would buy them for that too. Fiskars was the only one with Titanium blades @ Joann's so I took a leap of faith and at 40% felt I wasn't taking too much of a risk.
Next, I think I will try reconditioning my cutting mat as someone suggested by soaking it in water overnight then laying it out to dry... I think it is supposed to plump it up and kind of re seal the cutting lines.
So, I am giving 2 thumbs up for titanium blades!

I was thinking that the blades that fit Fiskars also fit Olfa? Did they have the titanium in the refills or only in the cutter package?

You will have to let us know if the titanium blades stay shaper longer. Being able to use them longer would offset the higher sticker price.

Does anyone know if the Fiskars are interchangeable with Olfa?

I don't think Fiskars and Olfa are interchangable. My son gave me a Fiskar's for Christmas; I use Olfa. I haven't tried to interchange the blades but the centers look different.

I can use any blades so far in all my various cutters, no problems. Also, do a search on Harbor Freight blades. Some of us love them and some of us don't. I do.

I think I have used an Olfa blade on my Fiskar cutter. Actually, I'm more interested in how the mat turned out.

Have to say both subjects have my attention! Please keep us informed. There is a new Harbor Freight next to Hobby Lobby and I am anxious to go there and try their blades. They see us coming for sure, don't they? I will buy anything that pertains to quilting!
