Oh Sharon, the only one who would play a mean trick like that would be<whisper Patrice> I think it must have come in a bundle of batiks because there were 3 really ugly pieces but they are bigger than a fat so they must have disguised them with some pretty ones! I had a piece of corduroy that looked like it had been used for a grease rag!

This could be a fun Round Robin. Send someone who wants to play a piece of ugly fabric to start a quilt with, send to the next person on the want to list for the next step and so on until it is done.

I would be interested in seeing a "before" picture once you gather up all your ugly contestants. That way, when they are put together, we can tell how far you've had to stretch your imagination. Any patterns in mind yet, or are you still learning to control your gag reflex?

my mailbox was looking pretty sick to its stomach when i got home yesterday. sure enough, it had ralphed all over my son when he checked the mail. apparently, kathy shops with her eyes closed.

she claims she can't remember why she bought them, but i noticed one had been cut into, so she must have at least one really embarrassing block or top squirreled away in secret somewhere.

I think I cut a piece of it for moss or coral in my goldfish quilt.
