Can someone tell me how come my topic of selling fabric wqas deleted? I read the rules and thought I was abiding by them. I priced the fabric cheaper than I had bought it for and what the retail is on fabric at the local shops. I don't understand, but it seems that everything I post gets taken off. I don't know who to contact to see why I have a problem.

I've never tried to sell anything, but I do know that you have to have "regular here" under your name (which means you post frequently) before you're allowed to sell.

I was a regular, but I looked and evidently I am not anymore. Don't know when that changed.

Contact a moderator. You need to be a regular user to sell. You get that title by posting 20 comments in any 2 week period and keep posting so you always have at least 20 current posts. Moderators are listed in bold type on the home page in list of users currently on site.

I guess that's what I did wrong. I participate when I have something to say, but mostly I like to read the posts and look at pictures from everyone else. I'm sure that is what is wrong. Sometimes I just don't have anything to say.

I think you have to be a regular before you can sell.

The rules were updated last February 2011-

    among the requirements -

    - having a title such as "a regular here" or "community benefactor"

    - starting other topics in other sections - have to have at least 50% "other topics" started in sections other than the classifieds or "I want"

"I wish to donate" ads count as two "other" topics

So you have to have as many topics started in the other sections as you do in the selling section?

This is copied and pasted from the rules/quidelines of the classified section.

WHO IS NOT ELIGIBLE TO SELL HERE?

Even if you have one of the required titles, you may not post new "for sale" offers if more than half of your Topics are in the Classifieds section. (This is easy to check. Click on the “My Topics” link in the top menu. All of the topics you’ve started at the board will be listed. The list will show Topic titles and the sections in which they were posted. The list is in reverse order by the dates the Topics were created.)

Members may choose to earn extra credits for posts related to Quilting/Quilters/Friendship (QQF) by posting Pay-It-Foward (PIF) topics in our Donations section. Each PIF offering item(s) worth at least $10 will count as 2 QQF topics. Postage is not included in the calculation of value. This is entirely optional. Members must not be criticized or otherwise misjudged if they do not choose to exercise the option.

well it looks like you are not a "regular" here just yet. it will show under your name when you post. you need about 20 posts in a month or week. not sure. it's in the "rules". sorry, you can sell soon though i'm sure. just keep replying to posts and you will be there.
