Some time ago, I overheard a conversation between 2 women, in which one had made a tote bag using a paper grocery bag inside of the material. Has anyone else heard of this or done it? If so, can you share how?? Thanks

I've not done it. But it sounds like they used the bags for a foundation and paper pieced on it? Cool idea. I have the fabric shopping bags that I've thought about stitching something on just to dress them up. May have to try the paper bag just to see what happens! (O: I wonder if they cut one fold and made a flat surface for sewing on. Hmmmm.
