Can anyone give me a good tracing pencil or pen to use. I am somewhat disappointed by the one I used on my stencils as the color didn't wash away as nice as I thought it would. I want something with a medium point that will wash away. Thanks.

I don't usually use marking pencils or pens. I use a ponce pad and a stencil. Just what works for me I guess.

I bought the Bohn Mechanical Chalk pencil this past week - and I love it.

i use a chacoliner chalk pencil from Clotilde's i have had much more luck with chalks for marking if the chalk is not going to work for what i need i use a plain ole #2 pencil...what ever you try you should always test an inconspicuous corner first to make sure it is going to wash out. different fabrics seem to (hang-on) better than others. i ruined a quilt one time using one of the blue water wash-away markers. when the quilt was washed the blue went right through, into the batting and backing...and 3 washes later...still blue streaks...so now all i use is chalk or a pencil...and i always test.

Try Multi Pastel Chalk pencils made by General pencil Co
I use only in white, light and dark grey. Comes off easily and washes out.

I have never seen a Pounce Pad at Joann's. When I asked at my local one they had no idea what I was talking about. I do believe they offer it on line though. Don't have Hobby Lobby here.
