I've done lots of stack and whack quilts. This past weekend while on shop hop I saw a quilt made from One-Block Wonders, by Maxine Rosenthal. The quilt is put together in rows, no fabric waste and she has some very interesting variations. I swore I would never do another stack and whack, but this book wiht variations has me looking for the right material.

I posted one called "Oh the Horror!!" about a stack n' whack I did. I used the One Block Wonder book by Maxine Rosenthal. The top turned out great and I got some very helpful advice from the members of the board. It's the next thing I'm going to quilt after I get my current project done.

'chciki' What kind of problems did you have? I have taken classes from Bethay Reynolds and as I said have made many stack and whack. The One-Block Wonder book prepares and cuts fabric the same as Bethany Reynolds. My problem with this metod is: you stick the pin carefullly through all layers at same point, OK. For me when I pin the layers they always slip just a tad, so this time I think I will use big stapler, after I've put pins through points. Also did you use full width of fabric, becuse that looks very cumbersome?
