Default Trying to get motivated

Some might remember I started a quilt a long time of scrap pieces. (picture shown)I have been collecting fabric for months. Cutting skirts and shirts from yard sales, Goodwill and Salvation Army. I cut them into 2 1/2 squares washed and dried now I have to finish into a quilt top. The nice weather makes it difficult to stay inside and sew. I have been looking at this chat room in hopes I will get motivated to start again. Anyone else having a hard time getting motivated?

Oh gosh, I am right there with you. No good reason except my self-diagnosed adult ADD. I don't know what is keeping me from quilting. I have made a bunch of doll clothes and pajama pants, but, still have "Plenty 'o time" to quilt, but am easily distracted. Maybe something will "click" and I'll be back to it.

I'm having a hard time. Did very little sewing yesterday, and I did a little more today.. I also used the seam ripper a bit today. I'm not blaming the nice weather, as it is hot, and humid, and I chose to run a couple of errands, and stay in.. It might be adult ADD.. I'm watching t.v, and playing on the computer..

Today is the first day I have even thought I might want to quilt. I got as far as looking at pictures of quilts on this site. Pretty pathetic. Maybe tomorrow

Good to know I am not alone. I have 3 weeks till school starts and I have stalled out. Just to many other things going on to settle into quilting. Started the summer break with the grand plan to quilt up the tops that have been waiting. Did 3, not to big, and loaded the 4 in the frame and there it sits for almost a week! Can't even decide what color thread to quilt this one with. But I did get the Juki cleaned and ready to go so hopefully I can get this one quilted before we do the road trip out on Thursday. Hopefully a change of view will get me going.

I have the motivation but no time! So many things that need my attention, the only thing I can get to is my handwork in the evenings. You have some very pretty fabrics in there....can't you hear them calling to you? They desperately need a new life in a quilt....Come on....you can do it!
