I have several bottom sheets with small holes that I believe I can repair. However, how is it accomplished? Do you just darn the danged hole using some other fabric to cover up the hole? Or is there a better method? They are flannel sheets. Any help and/or comments would be appreciated. Thanks.

I've been able to repair holes in bottom sheets (made by the dog) using cotton thread and a satin stitch. Some were longer than 6 inches in length and I can still use the sheets.

Sounds like a great way to rescue sheets that still have some life in them.

Ladies, thanks for the suggestions and advice. Yes, my holes are from doggies. Will try satin stitching them. Looked in my manual how to do it on my machine. I usually darn? by zigzag stitching over the holes, esp jeans, with some other denim material underneath but this is the 1st time that I thought I should try repairing the sheets as they do have life left in them Once again, thanks to all.
