    Default Tuesday Morning fabric update

    Update from this post: http://www.quiltingboard.com/main-f1...c-t203674.html

I got the label. The fat quarter label reads: sugar leaf brand www.sugarleafbrand.com The fat quarter bundles at the TM here are all Riley Blake fabrics. 7 fat quarters per bundle.

The website is weird. It doesn't show anything.

There's just the beginning of a site there; the domain name is registered to an individual in Utah. It is a little strange.

How much is a 7 FQ bundle?

Reg. $24.49 , paid. $9.99. I have some yardage of the same fabric I bought a year ago on clearance at a quilt shop. It looks and feels the same.

    This is interesting:

Riley Blake Designs is an innovative fabric manufacturer based out of Sandy and Alpine, Utah.

I went to my TM as well and bought the same FQ bundles. I compared them to my Riley Blake Farm Fresh FQ bundle in my stash and found that the color is off. The blue has a faded green tone to it and the ducks are not as white, they were more cream color to it. Basically the colors all have a cream tint to it. They must be seconds that did not meet up to the Riley Blake standard. If used in the same quilt and not mixed with up to the standard Riley Blake Farm Fresh it would be totally fine. That is what I am going to do. I will keep them separate from my stash and use them in small baby quilts. Still a bargain!

LinkedIn shows a Shane Walster living in Salt Lake City and is the Director Key Accounts at American Crafts. I wonder if it is the same?

Here is a pic to show the difference. The original Riley Blake Farm Fresh from my stash is the one on top. The blue is more blue and the bottom is from TM and is more of a blue green.

The difference could be that Farm Fresh came in Blue, Green, Teal, and Brown. The teal yardage that I have looks like the second picture you posted, a light blue green.

Having never bought a FQ of Riley Blake fabric in my life, nor seen this fabric in person, isn't that green one just another colorway?

See this- orange duck beaks, beige ducks and sheep, green background.

I have the whole bundle and do not see any other blue FQ's that are this shade or this print. Here is a link to Riley Blake and it only shows Green, Brown and Teal. http://www.rileyblakedesigns.com/sho...esh-cottons-1/
