Is there only one way to do a tumbler pattern, the usual up-and-down method of putting them opposite each other? I honestly woke up this morning trying to figure it out. If there is, I'd love to see pictures.

I have a book of tumbler patterns somewhere in my stash. I remember, it's more of placing the tumblers of different colors to form different designs, like the one in my flag pic.
