Default Two Posts that Helped Me with Leaking Iron and Warped Cutting Mat

My cutting mat warped in the car on Saturday afternoon – after being left for only 30 minutes as I ran into a store. I found a link in this post that really helped with the problem. Most of the warp is gone – it clouded up and rained after the mat had been outside for only an hour so I’ll put it out again on the next sunny day. I put the plywood on my deck. (DH thought I was crazy for using the glass top on our end table – but it worked!)

My German-made – and not cheap – Rowenta iron started to leak water through the steam holes when the water level dropped to a certain point in the tank. Look at the last post from Christine- for instructions on cleaning irons with vinegar. No more leaking.
